The full story
Members and supporters of the Cockroach Janta Party, alongside civil rights groups such as Jagrata Karnataka, My Vote, My Right, and AISA Karnataka, undertook a Tiranga march in Bengaluru on October 16, 2026. The march proceeded from Town Hall to the Quit India Memorial near Mysuru Bank Circle. The demonstration was held in solidarity with CJP co-convener Ashutosh Ranka and spokesperson Saurav Das, who were remanded to judicial custody in Delhi after entering Jantar Mantar. Initially, Bengaluru police denied permission for a gathering at Town Hall, citing High Court orders that restrict protests to Freedom Park. However, police later granted conditional permission for the foot march, barring provocative speeches, political slogans, and protest banners, while deploying heavy security.
