The full story

Over the weekend, multiple rallies took place in Boise ahead of the upcoming general election. On Saturday, Oct. 17, the Idaho State Capitol hosted a No Kings protest organized by Idaho 50501 and local grassroots groups, aimed at encouraging voter registration and early voting while addressing policies on Social Security, Medicare, immigration, and women's rights. On Sunday, Oct. 18, a second march led by organizations including PODER of Idaho, ACLU of Idaho, the Idaho Organization of Resource Councils, the Defend Immigrant Families Coalition, and Idaho 50501 traveled from Ann Morrison Park to the Idaho State Capitol. This second event marked the anniversary of a past immigration raid in Wilder and featured a petition demanding government accountability for civil rights violations, which organizers intended to deliver to Governor Brad Little.
