The full story

Police in Brussels evicted students occupying the P1 building at the Free University of Brussels (ULB) on the Solbosch campus. Organised by the group Occupation Autonome ULB, the protest began on October 22, with participants renaming the building after a Palestinian student from Gaza who faced visa issues. The occupiers submitted a list of 30 demands regarding student living conditions, tuition fees, and university partnerships with Israeli institutions and the arms industry. ULB Rector Annemie Schaus stated that negotiations failed, leading the university to seek a judicial order for police intervention after an ultimatum to leave by November 5 expired. The university administration cited vandalism, disruption of activities, and offensive graffiti, while protesters reported that several activists were arrested during the police clearance.
