The full story

The National Citizen Party (NCP) organised a mass protest rally in front of the National Museum in Shahbagh, Dhaka, led by party leaders including Nahid Islam, Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain, and Nasiruddin Patwary. Several thousand supporters participated in the event. The demonstrators criticized the government for soaring commodity prices, deteriorating law and order, and alleged corruption. Organisers put forward four key demands, specifically calling for the resignation of Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed and Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Iqbal Hasan Mahmud. Additional demands included abolishing the constitution amendment committee, repealing rights-violating laws, and expediting trials for murders related to the July Uprising. NCP leaders warned that failure to meet these demands would result in nationwide protest marches and a blockade targeting the prime minister.
