The full story

The Telangana unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party has announced a padayatra in Hyderabad scheduled for November 2. According to state BJP president N Ramchander Rao, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will lead the foot march starting from the Babu Jagjivan Ram statue at Nizam College and concluding at Mozamjahi Chowrasta. The protest march is organised to counter the Congress party's allegations and what the BJP describes as a false narrative regarding the Special Intensive Revision exercise. Organisers stated that lawyers, doctors, intellectuals, and thousands of party workers and members of the public are expected to participate. The event follows political friction between the BJP and Congress over electoral roll revision controversies and the booking of special trains for a separate protest in New Delhi.
