Thousands of demonstrators gathered on the Victoria Embankment in central London for a pro-Palestine protest, marching to Whitehall for a rally. The event was organised by the Palestine Coalition. A counter-protest by Stop The Hate also took place near New Scotland Yard, with the two groups separated by metal barriers and police lines. According to the Metropolitan Police, 20 arrests were made during the demonstration, including individuals detained for criminal damage after climbing on the Battle of Britain memorial, breaching protest conditions, refusing to remove face coverings, displaying placards supporting Palestine Action, public order offences, assaulting a police officer, and breach of the peace. The police had imposed conditions on the march and counter-protest to minimise disruption, using Public Order Act powers regarding face coverings.
