The full story

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supporters launched large protest marches across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province following the federal government's suspension of the provincial administration and imposition of emergency rule. Demonstrators voiced anti-government grievances, demanded the release of imprisoned former Prime Minister Imran Khan, and protested against harsh economic conditions. The central government defended the emergency measures by citing a failure to tackle terrorism and deteriorating security conditions in the border province. Authorities deployed heavy security forces, shipping containers, and razor wire across Peshawar and other areas. Clashes subsequently erupted during demonstrations, resulting in property damage, tear gas deployment, and hundreds of detentions and arrests by police.
