The full story
On October 28, 2026, Telangana Congress leaders and workers staged a flash protest outside Rail Nilayam in Secunderabad, the headquarters of South Central Railway. The demonstration was organized after railway authorities allegedly delayed for six days and ultimately rejected requests for special trains to transport party cadres to a scheduled opposition mega-rally at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi on November 1. Protest organizers, including Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president B. Mahesh Kumar Goud and Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, accused the BJP-led Union government of political malice and a conspiracy to hinder southern cadres from attending the event. Police intervened and detained the protesting leaders, taking them to the Market police station.
