The full story

In Bengaluru, Karnataka, members of the National Students' Union of India (NSUI) organised an unusual protest on November 7, 2026, by arranging unsolicited online deliveries of knives and paper cutters to the residence of BJP leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council, Chalavadi Narayanaswamy. Multiple quick-commerce delivery executives arrived at his home with cash-on-delivery parcels containing the items. NSUI State President Kirthi Ganesh confirmed responsibility in a video statement, explaining that the protest was a direct response to Narayanaswamy's alleged remarks that Congress leaders should be cut into pieces and thrown into the Arabian Sea. Ganesh challenged the BJP leader and called on supporters to place similar orders. In response, BJP leaders, including State President B.Y. Vijayendra, met the Bengaluru City Police Commissioner to file a formal complaint, seeking criminal proceedings and the cancellation of quick-commerce licenses over the safety concerns.
