The full story
Volunteers and leaders from the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) staged a flash protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi to defy the government's order de-notifying the area as a designated demonstration site. Carrying the national flag, a group of activists jumped locked gates and barricades to enter the venue, raising slogans against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over the special intensive revision controversy. The demonstration followed a Ministry of Home Affairs and Delhi Police decision to strip Jantar Mantar of its protest status and relocate demonstrations to three alternative sites. Delhi Police personnel intervened, removing and detaining the participants.
