The full story

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) announced a national 'Lehra Do Tiranga' demonstration in New Delhi to protest against the arrest of party activists and student leaders. Organised by CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke alongside student organisations and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the march aims to protest the detention of members who were jailed for allegedly violating peace bonds while unfurling the national flag, and to protest against the deletion of voters. The Delhi High Court refused to restrain the planned October 16 protest at Connaught Place's Central Park, noting police assurances to regulate the event. In response, authorities closed Central Park for two days, imposed Section 163 of the BNSS, and deployed over 6,000 police personnel alongside Central Armed Police Forces.
