The full story

The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has announced a nationwide Tiranga march, with a central rally scheduled at Central Park in Connaught Place, New Delhi, on October 16, 2026. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke called for the demonstration following the arrest and five-day judicial custody of party members Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka. The members were detained after allegedly climbing gates at Jantar Mantar to wave the national flag in protest against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over electoral roll revision discrepancies and the de-notification of Jantar Mantar as an agitation site. In response to the detentions, the party urged supporters in Delhi and other cities to gather and wave the Tricolour, while security forces have begun deploying barricades around Connaught Place.
