The full story

Lawyers gathered in Nairobi to protest the disappearance of advocate Abshir Ahmedsadak, who was last seen on November 1. Organised by the Law Society of Kenya, the march started at Milimani Law Courts and proceeded toward Vigilance House to present a memorandum to Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja. Law Society of Kenya President Charles Kanjama criticized authorities for failing to account for the lawyer's whereabouts and for making allegations against him. Protesters demanded that security agencies either disclose his location, produce him in court, or secure his safe return. Police officers appearing in court previously suggested the missing advocate might be linked to an extortion network, a claim rejected by protesting lawyers who insisted on adherence to constitutional rights and due process.
