The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee organized statewide protests, including a primary demonstration at its office on Queen's Road in Bengaluru, to observe a 'Black Day' for democracy. The demonstrations were called in response to the detention of opposition leaders such as Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra by Delhi Police during protests against the Election Commission. Protesters in Bengaluru held black flags, raised slogans against the Central government, and condemned alleged police high-handedness.
