The full story

The Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) bloc announced the postponement of its planned public impeachment of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar from October 30 to October 31 due to rain. Opposition leaders, including Lok Sabha Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi and Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, stated that the weekend events—which also include a march to Ramlila Maidan on November 1—aim to protest against alleged vote theft, the special intensive revision of electoral rolls, and the actions of the Election Commission and top government officials. According to opposition figures, the demonstrations are designed to defend the Constitution and the right to vote. The opposition further alleged that the Union Home Minister attempted to prevent supporters from outside Delhi from attending the upcoming events.
