The full story
Trade unions FNV and CNV have organized a twelve-hour work stoppage for ANWB employees, including roadside assistance and emergency center staff, scheduled for Monday, November 9, from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. The action follows stalled collective labor agreement negotiations. To prevent severe traffic chaos and ensure public safety, the ANWB filed for a preliminary injunction demanding a high minimum workforce during the strike. Following a court hearing in Utrecht, the judge ruled the strike lawful but ordered restricted staffing requirements, including a 12.5% presence for roadside patrols to handle dangerous situations and 85% for the emergency center. Union representatives stated they will comply with the ruling and that the decision remains workable for organizing the protest.
